Pastor Jamey Day accepted the call to serve as Senior Pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Fredericksburg, Texas, and began his ministry there in November 2016. Under his leadership, the church continues to emphasize faithful expository preaching, heartfelt worship, and living out the Great Commission in everyday life. A dedicated family man, Pastor Jamey has been happily married to his wife, Sherry, for over 41 years. Together they have raised four sons: Hayden, the eldest, is married to Rachel and they reside in Anna, Texas, where they are raising their two children. Kendal, a Marine Corps veteran, now works as a private contractor. Taylor is married to Ari and makes his home in Frisco, Texas. Bailey lives in Fredericksburg, Texas.

Pastor Jamey is passionate about preaching expositionally—teaching verse-by-verse through entire books of the Bible—to help believers grow deeper in their understanding and application of God’s Word. He also loves equipping and encouraging Christians to live out the Great Commission “as they go” in their daily lives, workplaces, neighborhoods, and beyond, making disciples intentionally and through relationships and ordinary conversations. Educationally, Pastor Jamey earned his Master of Divinity with Biblical Languages from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, graduating with the class of 1994. His training in the original languages of Scripture deeply informs his careful, text-driven approach to preaching and teaching. With a heart for God’s Word, His people, and His mission, Pastor Jamey continues to lead Faith Baptist Church with humility, conviction, and a genuine love for the Lord and those he serves.
