Sports Camp

Since 2012, Faith Baptist has developed, in partnership with Sports Ministry Outreach, a summer local mission to share the gospel with children and their families through hosting sports camps. Sports that have been used for this mission include baseball/softball, soccer, and basketball. Participating children (ages 6-12) are taught basic sports skills and sportsmanship lessons each day through drills and scrimmages. But more importantly, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the main focus of teaching at each camp.

Each camp lasts 4 days, and each day is 3 ½ hours long. The Gospel, or a portion of it,
is shared every day upon opening and closing to camp, as well as at the “Gospel
Station” during the mid-day breaktime. This is done through teaching, question/answer,
memory verse, and song.

A hotdog lunch is served after the closing of the last day of camp, and children are
asked to bring their parents/guardians and siblings to join in the lunch. Our church has also provided a model for doing a sports mission so that other churches are invited to volunteer with us and take this mission opportunity to their local congregation/community. We have also brought this sports mission outreach to like-minded churches who partner with us in providing their own mission team to help run the camp.

Our 2026 Sports Camp will be held June 8 -11. Please see below to view and download the Camp Registration Form. Once complete, please email to: faithbaptistfbg@gmail.com
